Let's get baking, shall we?Â
oui, oui.
Apple Galette | A rustic french, freeform crust delight.
Super easy to make!Â
Ingredients:
Pie Crust (I use Pillsbury Pie Crust, but feel free to use a homemade crust, too!)
4 medium apples (I like to use a combo of in-season apples)
3 T. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon (or less if you don’t love cinnamon)Â
4 T. cold butter/ small cubesÂ
egg wash ( 1 egg beaten with 1T water)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out dough to 12"
Peel, core + slice apples into very thin slices.
Mix cinnamon + sugar. Gently mix with apples.
Spread apple mixture onto crust, leaving 2-3" crust to fold over.
Place butter cubes over the apple mixture and fold the crust over every inchÂ
or two.
Brush crust with egg wash + bake for 30-40 minutes.
Best served warm, with ice cream, family + good friends.
enjoy! xo
